practice and grow as dancers both in skill and in creativity. For more

The Gillette School of Highland Dance was founded in 1984 first in Colorado by Sarah and Shari Gillette, certified Highland Dance teachers and former competitors. Later, Sarah moved to Chicago and is now teaching in the Chicago area.
Our mission at the Gillette School of Highland Dance is to provide a fun and supportive learning environment for students of all ages, to teach the traditions of Scottish Highland Dancing, and to foster growth and success in each dancer.
The Gillette School Dancers not only participate in Highland Dancing competitions but are also available for performances.
We offer instruction in Scottish Highland Dancing for:
- Primary dancers, ages 3-6
- Youth and Adult Beginner dancers, ages 7+
- Novice, Intermediate, and Premier classes for more advanced dancers
